Anti Aging Creams

The frenzy for anti aging creams is not only a phenomenon here in the United States, but internationally as well. Men and women all over the globe are trying to fight the remnants of time through the purchase of any quality recommended antiaging skin product they can get their hands on. Reversing the effects of getting older, or at least not allowing other to see it physically, is a growing industry that is producing many lotions, serums, and moisturizers that "miraculously" eliminate any signs of age in an individual. Most people would rather forego the costs and recovery periods of plastic surgery, so they are opting for less expensive topical solutions to eliminate those fine lines.

It has always been assumed that those who had oily skin would be susceptible to acne and other skin clogging disorders. However, those with oily skin have found that later in life; they see fewer lines around the eyes, mouth, and cheeks. As it turns out, oily skin is actually a blessing. There isn't an antiaging skin product on the market that can produce the same benefits of naturally moist skin. People with dry skin may have escaped pubescent acne, but are now paying the price, literally. With anti aging creams costing upwards of $150 per 4 ounce bottle, it is no wonder there is an entire industry dedicated to helping men and women look, and consequently feel, younger.

Advertisers are rejuvenating super models from 30 years ago to endorse their products. The logic behind this action is that if a super model can still look young by using a certain antiaging skin product when she is over 50 years old, then so can the targeted consumer. This advertising strategy is working too, because sales for endorsed anti wrinkle products are soaring. Most ingredients are natural and hypoallergenic. Quality products contain no fragrances and are non-photo toxic. Consumers are looking for quick absorption into the dermis. They even demand potions for dry and oily skin. Of course, with any topical treatment, the risk of allergic reaction is present. Producers recommend testing a small area first before rubbing it into the face and neck.

The most common ingredients in anti aging creams are hyaluronic acid, antioxidant grape seed, essential oils, silk proteins, glycolic acids, alpha hydroxy, and vitamins A, C, E, and D. All of these ingredients add moisture and hydration to the areas of the face and body that they are rubbed onto. Consumers should check to be sure that there are not too many additives inside the products. Additives may foster an allergic reaction in many individuals, which may cause swelling, redness, itching, and even acne. Typical products are provided in many forms: lotions, creams, cleansing gels, and toner to name a few. For men who wish to dilute signs of old age, they can utilize specially formulated shaving creams, lotions, and after-shaves that include the ingredients known to relax fine lines and wrinkles. Mass production of these agents differentiates between women and men, allowing men to retain their rugged, tough skin and women to continue to have soft delicate facial dermis.

Most companies in the business of relaxing wrinkles and signs of age use extracts from plants and herbs. These extracts provide the necessary vitamins that a consumer may be deficient in. These vitamins can rejuvenate facial tissue throughout the course of time and replenish signs of cracking. Any antiaging skin product that can reduce lines and wrinkles, whether immediately or for the long term will surely be a success. Some customers use their products three or more times a day. The common recommended dosage is twice a day; after rising in the morning and before retreating for the evening. It's also important, when trying to eliminate wrinkles, to rub in any lotions with very clean hands and fingers. Washing with antibacterial soap, before applying, is the preferred method. Cleanliness is of utmost importance. "Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God" (2 Corinthians 7:1). Bacteria can mix with the chemical compounds in a product and thwart the anti aging effects.

The prices of anti aging creams can vary widely. Discount drug stores sell generic brands for under $5 per bottle. Logic would dictate that a bottle or tube costing less than $5 is not a miracle cure, but a glorified moisturizer. Some brands that are considerably more expensive can be found either online or at fine department stores. Some beauty salons may also carry an antiaging skin product line for customers. When using the products, it is important to follow the regimen indicated on the label. Some work best when used in a pattern form. For example: four weeks on and four weeks off. Independent beauty consultants also offer an array of choices. Getting referrals from people that have used certain brands before and can recommend them is necessary, especially with the more costly items. In addition to purchasing the correct product for the desired result, it is also essential that the lotion, gel or cleanser is applied correctly. When dealing with inelastic skin folds, rubbing inward is the key. Outward rubbing strokes will only stretch the skin out further, leaving more chance of wrinkling. The eye area and the mouth area should have applications of the anti aging creams performed in a circular inward moving motion for maximum benefit.
